Anton Du Beke, the beloved judge from BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, has secretly crossed over to ITV to join the nation's favorite guessing game. The esteemed panel of judges, including Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Maya Jama, and Jonathan Ross, along with special guest Perrie Edwards from Little Mix, all had their theories after an incredible performance of Barbra Streisand's "Woman in Love.
Speaking to host Joel Dommett, Anton gushed about his experience, saying, "I've loved every second of it! It's been an absolute blast, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity."
But when asked about his elimination, Anton admitted, "I'm devastated, of course. It's a bitter-sweet feeling because I got to perform, but now I'm off the show!"
Anton, married to Hannah Summers and a proud father of eight-year-old twins, revealed a heartwarming reason for joining the show. He wanted to surprise his children, knowing they are huge fans of The Masked Singer. "I've been keeping it a secret from them, telling them I had rehearsals. They're going to be blown away when they see me unveiled!"
He continued, "It's such a wonderful show, and I'm just a huge fan. I loved working with the vocal coaches and belting out some classic tunes. It's been brilliant fun, and that's what I'll remember most."
Anton's exit was part of a double elimination, with singer Kate Nash also leaving the show. She performed as Monkey Business and sang "As Long As He Needs Me" from Oliver! Kate shared her own unique experience, saying, "The mask was like a comfort zone. I'll miss it."
